As mother of five Christine McDonald has worked with a wide variety of community and eductional organsiations:

• Education: play groups, playcentre, kindergartens, primary schools, colleges, tertiary institutions

• Sport: soccer, rugby, netball, hockey, cricket, athletics, swimming, indoor cricket, indoor soccer, tramping

• Health: La Leche League, Plunket,

• Community: National Childrens Day, Learn 'n' Live Trust, Kidz @ Heart

• Charities: World Vision, Bible Society, Tear Fund, Youth With a Mission, Christian Blind Mission, Jesus 4 Real, Creation Ministries International, SIM, CLC, ICPE, Caritas

• Church: various councils and ministries, Sunday school, music, adult education, Masterton Inter Church Council  

All of these involvements have given Christine an understanding of the needs and workings of various community groups and organisations.
